Perot Systems Corporation is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. We are currently looking for a Junior Systems Administrator to join our team in New York, New York.
Job Responsibilities :
Candidate will possess a junior skill level in Windows Server Administration (2000, 2003) with at least 0-1 years experience maintaining/supporting and installing these operating systems at an enterprise level. This includes analyzing and implementing OS patches and hot fixes as well as other OS configurations and updates. Candidate should possess an understanding of networking technology and knowledge in DHCP, DNS, and WINS. Candidate should possess familiarity and experience with server hardware, firmware, BIOS, RAID, server backups, and server security.
***Candidate should have a strong knowledge in data center operations including racking servers, running network cabling, building servers, installing server components, and working within server racks. Knowledge of Microsoft Visio is a huge plus.***
Must work well within a team and possess strong written and oral communication skills. Candidate must be able to operate independently in the absence of strict guidance to correct issues and complete tasks assigned to them. This individual should be flexible in accommodating customer requirements and possess a drive to provide a high level of customer service, which includes working a flexible schedule that can be dictated by enterprise support issues. Must possess strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills in enterprise level environments, being able to logically step through issues, troubleshoot problems by thinking outside of the box, and being creative with solutions. Must be able to relate technical issues and requirements to business issues and vice versa as well as be able to communicate these to non-technical associates and customers.

Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Certifications or Other Professional Credentials :
Prefer an MCP or higher certification, other industry certifications also encouraged
A+ certification a plus
