New York State Electric & Gas, an Energy East Company, is looking for a Analyst - Technical Support Services for its Binghamton location.JOB SUMMARY:In this role, you will maintain computer systems for modeling gas and electric operating systems in accordance with company procedures and standards. You will also interact with internal and external customers by providing technical assistance and support.MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITES: Performs updates to gas and electric distribution and transmission computer models. Performs quality control checks of GIS data on gas and electric system models. Performs layout of new facilities for gas and electric transmission and distribution systems. Supports engineering by providing CAD operating assistance. Verifies construction information for CPR records.JOB REQUIREMENTS:Required Education: High school graduate. Associates degree in a CAD or technically related field preferred.Experience/Training: 3-5 years of related experience.Certified training in the use of basic CAD principlesSkills/Abilities: Working knowledge of CAD and GIS systems. Able to train others in topics related to mapping and spatial data analysis Able to read, interpret, and analyze complex design sketches. Good written and verbal communication skills. Able to interact with other technical support personnel, users and management. Able to interface with software vendors and internal clients.
