BI Business Intelligence Reporting Manager in PURCHASE, NY

1) Expert level of knowledge of the OBIEE and EDM front end tools, capabilities, report and dashboard designs to ensure usability and flexibility of reports. Solid understanding of deployed PRUSA shared services model. Carries vision and leads evolution of standardized use of BI throughout PRUSA. 2) Support discussions with business regarding their BI and EDM solution needs. Works with business analysts and management to ensure a tight fit between BI environment and business requirements. Provide direction and options for solutions, gap analysis and scope management. Facilitates the prioritization of projects and requirements among competing business interests. Helps identify and assess potential data sources. Recommends appropriate scope of requirements. Coordinates Prototype reviews. Contact: Experience: Experience / Background: Requires advanced OBIEE knowledge, detailed understanding of Oracle, DW methodologies, and ETL processes. Technical expertise related to the end-to-end process flow of BI applications to support troubleshooting any issues. Requires 3+ years experience developing and administering Oracle BI or comparable BI applications and reporting objects. Requires BI design experience and a familiarity with standard project life-cycle methodology. c. Required Skills/Competencies: • Experience with Project Management, familiarity with Project methodology • Excellent knowledge of IT objectives and strategies • Excellent time management, communications, decision making, presentation, human relations and organization skills • Able to resolve problems in a timely manner • Relational database analysis and modeling experience. • Able to provide complex problem solving of BI and DW issues. Understanding of end to end system to follow data trail from source system, through SQL Server and Oracle databases, through ETL tools and through BI semantic layer to BI front ends. • Experience in writing complex SQL • Experience with advanced functions of MS Excel (pivot tables, filtering, sorting) and using Excel for data analysis and validation. • Ability to create clear and accurate documentation procedures and willingness to continually use and update documentation. • Experience with MS Access, PowerPoint, Visio, Word and advanced Google searches. • Ability and willingness to learn new applications rapidly. • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work with minimal direction, yet also able to work in team environment. • Ability to successfully prioritize and complete tasks in order of importance. • Technical capability to identify, analyze and resolve complex problems.
