Legacy Technical System Analyst in New York, NY

SCOPE OF SERVICES Evaluate and perform systems analysis for the existing Legacy database integration processes, recommend system design and develop interface for uploading the Legacy production data into SQL database using ODBC drivers. Perform tasks such as develop processes for data comparison, migration, synchronization as well as, replication, and review before-and-after the process changes. Install and test the updated data transformation programs. Consult with DSNY IT personnel to analyze and modify Production JCL programs test and install updated JCL. Create support documentation such as Data Dictionary for the databases and appropriate operations manuals. Develop, test and document data recovery procedures. Provide support required for the maintenance of SCAN application such as conduct performance monitoring and assist DSNYIT with troubleshooting system issues. Develop training material and conduct training for the developed procedures MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE Note: candidates who do not have the mandatory skills will not be considered. Minimum of 4 years of experience within New York City agencies for Legacy application, coding framework development, data warehousing, data replication and upload from Mainframe Legacy systems to SQL databases by using the following products: Adabas, Adabas SQL Gateway, Natural, Windows Server 2003 Server, VMS, VM, IBM Assembler, PHP, Natural, COBOL, SQL Server, MS SQL Server DTS packages and C .
