Specialist I (SP I) in Brooklyn, NY

Mandatory Technical Requirements:Minimum two (2) years of experience in translating procedures, policy documents, training materials and manuals into Spanish.Minimum two (2) years of experience performing quality assurance task and reviews on translated materials, forms and manuals.Interviewing, data collection and analysis skills. Experience defining documentation and Spanish translation requirements (Required)Experience with personal computer systems including word processors, spreadsheets, databases and scheduling tools. (Required)Experience working on one (1) project involving social services policy and program analysis on a local or state governmental level, preferably with knowledge of welfare, food stamp and/or Medicaid and regulations. (Required)Desirable Requirements:Experience in establishment translation standards.Experience with documents creation and management software, especially InFormed software.Demonstrated experience in design and analysis for a Windows-based or Web environment.Experience working on one (1) project for the City of New York, including at least two (2) years of experience with public assistance information systems.Tasks and Duties:Translates forms, brochures, posters and informational into Spanish as mandated by Local Law.Assists in updating, revising, writing, and formatting client notices, forms, brochures, posters and informational into Spanish.
