Job Description: Genesis10 is seeking a Senior C /C# Fixed Income Developer for a major client in New York on a Full time basis.Accelerate you career as a financial services application developer working for a growing, global capital markets giant!Our client is a global leader in Capital Markets who is looking for a strong AVP level developer to join the Electronic Trading team in Fixed Income Technology. Fixed Income Technology group is responsible for the development and support of all front, middle and Back Office applications and systems that are used to support Fixed Income business. The team is global and supports a combination of in-house and vendor applications. Our client is striving to be a leader the Derivatives and the Government bond markets as well as to offer sales, trading and research services to a diverse client base. Description:- Join the E-trade team of analyst/programmers to work on C server and client side components. - Work on C# client GUI. - Work on some server side Java components. - Carry out all steps of the development lifecycle to deliver an electronic platform for MBS trading using internal frameworks IB, eT and Market View/ION.- Liaising with business representatives to determine requirements. - Analyzing those requirements to find the most appropriate method for incorporating them into existing systems, documenting the changes. - Developing those requirements. - Unit, system, regression, performance testing those requirements - Supporting the implementation of each new code release. Experience: Required Skills/Experience:- Solid commercial experience as a software developer in Fixed Income.- BA or BS in Computer Science or equivalent.- 4 years solid experience in C and STL essential.- 2 years experience in C#.- Strong multi-threading skills.- Strong communication skills, ability to collaborate with technical team and communicate project initiatives clearly to all stakeholders.- Solid understanding of the software quality lifecycle and multiple testing stages.Preferred Skills/Experience:- Strong experience with relational databases (MS SQL preferred, Sybase/Oracle are fine).- Experience in Fixed Income (MBS and Interest Rates are preferred).- Knowledge of ECN's like Marketview/ION is strongly preferred.- Java development experience is a plus.Salary and Benefits:- AVP level role.- Competitive salary dependent upon experience.- Performance Bonus.- 401(k) with employee match pension plan.- Premium Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription, Disability, Life Insurance and Long-Term Care benefits. - Generous Paid Vacation, Holidays, Sick Days, Personal Days.This is an excellent opportunity to join a winning team.
