BI/Data Warehousing Contractor in Not Specified, NY

A Global Financial Firm located in New York City has an immediate Contract opportunity for an experienced BI/Data Warehousing Contractor. The Muni Tech team has their own Data Warehouse and they need another resource to join the BI/DW team. The Datawarehouse is focused on capturing Munis data points and making them available to the users. They need someone experienced in working with outside teams to understand their data model and be able to design a star schema from it and implement the ETLs to extract and transform the source data into the star schema. Responsibilities: -Working with a team of 3-4 other developers BI/ETL developers -Understanding external systems data and modeling it into a star schema -Authoring ETLs -Designing Analysis Services Cubes -Designing reports Required Experience:. Experience building star schemas for use by MS SQL Server Analysis Services cubes. Experience developing ETLs for loading data from transactional systems to a Datawarehouse. Strong knowledge of fixed income products, trading, and risk.
