Experience: As a Test Technician for embedded software, you will perform test activities for on new and sustaining device product projects. Responsibilities will include, developing and creating protocols, executing protocols, reporting and recording test results and test defects. You will also perform activities related to the execution of tests including setup and management of test environments and test tools. Key Responsibilities: Perform standard testing processes on a variety of device embedded software and recording results. Require knowledge of industry specific tests for medical devices. Require an associate's degree and 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of testing device embedded software. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Perform a variety of tasks. Work under direct supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor. Required Background: An AS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Computer Engineering with experience is required. A BS is preferred. The ideal candidate will possess a solid test process background with device software. Experience using automated bug reporting and tracking tools is a must. Experience with white box and black box testing methodologies, as they relate to device software, is necessary. Previous experience within the medical industry testing device software is a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. You must be a team player, building relationships and reflecting high integrity as well as a strong work ethic.
