Global Financial Institution located inNew York, NYhas an immediate opening for a Senior Business Analyst/Project for ISGs Documents data platform. Experience: 10 Education: Bachelors Degree Job Description: This is a key role in creating and maintaining a suite of applications for Documents data platform in the Enterprise Data Group. GDS and DocPoint under documents platform are vital suite of applications central to Firms risk assessment and control programs: AML, Identity, Credit Risk and Capital, Collateral Management & Tax. These applications provide document storage and retrieval services, document content capture, rules engine to evaluate documentation and non-documentation requirements, expiration and mailing services, reporting and other key business functions. These applications are multi-tiered and employ various technologies including Java middleware, client-side #, for Back End services & rules engine, Shell script and Sybase as Database. The successful candidate will be a member of a development team interacting with business analysts and end users from Brokerage business areas such as Equity, Fixed Income, Prime Brokerage, Securities Lending and Global Wealth Management and company areas such as Tax, Legal and Risk. The individual will be responsible for the following - Manage client expectation, project prioritization and scheduling Analyze and document client requirements for specific business projects Act as a delivery manager of various business driven projects with complete end to end responsibility from scoping to implementation. Skills Required: Strong Business analysis and project management experience Clear understanding of project management and business analysis approaches Exceptional written and verbal presentation skills Strong analytical skills with an ability to research independently. Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills and a creative and flexible approach to problem solving Keen attention to detail Strong communication and influencing skills Self motivated, Strong sense of ownership and accountability for work Capable of setting direction and motivating team members outside the direct reporting line Fluency with all MS Office tools, including Access, Project, and Visio Ability to deal with ambiguity and define approaches to bring un-focused issues to resolution Skills Desired: Previous background in working with Technology teams Understanding of software development life cycle and change management processes.
