BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE SOLUTION SPECIALIST(SENIOR PROGRAMMER/ANALYST)The SICAS Center at SUNY College at Oneonta provides software, services, and solutions for administrative computing needs for a growing consortium of SUNY colleges. The Center works closely with college administrative professionals providing consulting, training, and customer support as well as developing software enhancements to SunGard Higher Education's Banner Software System. Please visit our web site at http://sicas.suny.edu for more information about the SICAS Center.The Center is seeking a motivated individual to play a key role in the SUNY Business Intelligence Initiative (SBII). SBII is focused on coordinated campus-based and University-wide use of information to improve Decision Support (DS) at the campus level and throughout the University. Using Oracle's Business Intelligence reporting tool (OBIEE), SGHE's Banner Student Information System and Operational Data Store (ODS), the successful candidate will translate needs and requirements to expand and customize the ODS/OBIEE meta data repository. This position will also focus on developing and enhancing campus level strategic and operational decision-making capability by advising and mentoring campuses on best practices for repository, report, and dashboard development. The job is either located at the SICAS Center in Oneonta or at another SUNY institution. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree; minimum of 3 years data warehouse modeling or data warehouse experience. Some travel is required. Preferred: OBIEE Repository (RPD) development and customization experience; experience with OBIEE Repository(RPD) modeling including presentation, logical, and physical layers; experience in analysis, design and development of OBIEE customized reports and dashboards; experience with BI Publisher; experience implementing and customizing SGHE's Operational Data Store (ODS); proven ability to mentor Business Intelligence development and provide best practice recommendations; customer support experience; ability to locate at the SICAS Center in Oneonta.
