Our local Rochester client is currently searching for c# developers with document imaging experience for a long term consultant assignment. Need a solid developer with good C#, .net development skills. Good use of Visual Studio. Could be either winforms or webforms development. They will be working on Imaging applications so they should be comfortable working with images vs. just documents. Any experience with scanners or other image capture and output is good. Summary: Individual will be responsible for programming new features and enhancements as defined by feature design staff and under the guidance of the application's implementation manager, act as the subject matter expert for the features/functions they develop and as key contributors to the design, test, debug and documentation processes. This individual must have genuine enthusiasm and passion for technology, its application to solve business problems, and ensuring the application is the best it can be. Importance: Strong developers are needed to support the Agile and SCRUM methodologies that are utilized by the Platform Development organization to maintain tight schedules and high quality code bases for all of the offerings that the organization supports. Essential Core Programming Skills: . Solid communication skills, written and verbal . Effective communication with peers and ability to multitask and work in a team environment with a "can-do" attitude . Understanding of the software development lifecycle . Ability to adhere to coding standards and conduct routine code reviews . Understanding of work flow management . Ability to debug and troubleshoot technology problems rapidly . Knowledge of Web based technologies (JavaScript, JSP, AJAX, HTML, ASP.Net, and XML/XSLT) . Ability to learn new technologies quickly . Ability to comprehend relational database concepts, program against and build tables in relational databases (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, etc.) . Understanding of the following technologies to help develop N tier enterprise applications: o Microsoft .NET Framework, Microsoft SQL Server, C#, WinForms, WPF, C++, XML Web Services, Microsoft IIS, Remoting . Understanding of rapid application development, object oriented concepts, design and development . Understanding of SaaS and ASP application development models (e.g., multi-tenant, hosted, etc.) Advanced Programming Skills: . Understanding of how to scale applications in general . Understanding of web application and data security . Deep understanding of Microsoft Windows architecture and system level programming . Can develop very intuitive and good looking user interfaces .
