Description Our client, a major global financial services provider engaged in retail and commercial banking, is seeking a Sr. Java Software Developer/Client Liaison. Location: New York , NY Fulltime Position The qualified candidate will be able to apply modern software development practices and possesses a mix of strong communication and technology skills including Java, J2EE, Perl, SQL, JSP, HTML, and Unix Shell Scripting. A Graduate degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is preferred. Knowledge of Fixed Income analytics relating to MBS, Credit, and Derivatives is required. We are currently seeking qualified individuals to lead the support team for Index Production and the processes used to generate the family of Benchmark Indices and Index Strategies. Main Duties Developer of solutions for Point and Index related client projects Manage developer teams and projects Provide internal and external client support for portfolio and risk solutions Liaise with Marketing, Operations, and other internal development teams. Assist in the design and delivery of new processes and the development of new support tools Person Requirements Candidate should have 5 to 7 years of financial markets experience and the following skills: Must be self motivated and have the ability to work in a team-oriented environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills for working with clients Strong technology skill set in programming including Java, C++, SQL, Weblogic, and Shell or Perl Scripting in Unix and Windows Desire to work in a challenging, complex, fast-paced, high-pressured environment and willingness to learn complex business and technology processes and actively contribute to their evolution Desire and ability to quickly understand and learn Portfolio, Benchmark and Indices strategies and processes and their role within the Capital Markets Strong multi-platform support and project management skills are required To Apply to this job go to http://www.GadBall.com or click here
