This position will involve work with Portfolio Managers, Traders, and Research Analysts to apply technological solutions to current business needs. The position involves the management of business applications and projects that require a variety of disciplines, including, project management, requirements gathering, software development, software integration/testing, and web/reporting technologies. This position also involves heavy interaction with the end user community, and senior business leaders.
Essential Functions:
Work with Fixed Income Portfolio Managers, Traders, and Research Analysts to provide technical expertise and solutions to current business needs.
Maintain and improve existing business applications.
Lead full life cycle projects.
Interact with business users to acquire and clearly document business requirements.
Design technical solutions to achieve business goals.
Create comprehensive system documentation.
Required:
Bachelor's degree with at least 8 years of hands on C++ development experience.
At least 3 years of database experience (Oracle, queries, stored procedures, triggers, etc.).
Designed and implemented multi-threaded, real time, client server applications
5+ years experience in Equity/ Fixed Income markets.
2+ Years experience leading full life cycle projects
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical capabilities and organizational skills
Ability to work under little supervision - self-motivated
