Provides basic and complex problem solving support for Basis-related issues to end-users and IS associates.
This includes occasional off-hours support. Liaisons with SAP's software support organization.
Monitors SAP basis environment. Generates metrics reporting and assists with capacity planning. Oversees SAP system monitoring services and develops and implements action plans to address system optimization and issues.
Supports system upgrades, service packs, kernal upgrades, and client deployments. Coordinates Basis team activities with technical IS support functions including IS Operations, network administration, IS security, database support and UNIX/EMC administrators.
Acting liaison for SAP's software support organization.
Proactively monitoring and reporting on performance and load of effect of adding new modules to SAP.
Coordination and execution of system copies with competing project schedules.
Provides technical support for output management and batch processing.
Bachelors degree in MIS, CS or related field, a minimum of
3 years+ SAP R/3 Basis administration.
Knowledge of SAP BW and APO a plus.
Proficient in Network-based operating systems such as HP-UX, Windows, Red Hat Linux.
Proficient in SLC development and project management methodologies.
Must be available to be on-call 7 by 24, and work off hours.
Proficient in all Microsoft Office Tools such as Word, Excel, Access, Project, Visio.
Good documentation, excellent communication skills required.
