This is a long-term consulting opportunity for our direct client, a major investment firm, in New York City.
The successful candidate should:
-Have more than 2 years of experience using C++ in a professional environment.
-Have in-depth understanding of object-oriented principles and design concepts as well as the ability to apply them in solving real problems.
-Understand multi-threading concepts and practice and comfortable with working on a multi-threaded system.
-Understand and prepared to deal with the challenges of working on a mission critical trading system.
-Have strong UNIX system knowledge.
-Have strong analytical and problem solving skills.
-Comfortable with working on a large code base and capable of quickly navigate the code base to troubleshoot problems.
