Major Technology Firm Located in Albany, NY seeks Windows 2003 Active Directory Administrator for 1 Year Plus Consulting Assignment. Overview: The Consultant will be a team member, responsible for design, implementation and maintenance of Microsoft Windows 2003 Active Directory and related technologies, supporting multiple mission critical, enterprise wide environments. Projects are highly visible, complex and require close coordination with other technical units. Applicants should have knowledge and experience in the following areas: -Windows 2003 Active Directory and related technologies -Enterprise experience administering Microsoft Windows 2003 Active -Directory with multiple forests, including multiple domain forests -Active Directory in an enterprise class environment -Enterprise experience administering Microsoft Windows 2003 Active -Directory in a large scale environment of greater than 1,000 users and 1,000 member computers -Enterprise experience administering Microsoft Windows 2003 Active Directory Domain Controllers, name resolution, scheduled replication, Global Catalog, schema, trusts, and related technologies -Enterprise experience administering Microsoft Windows 2003 Active Directory delegated permissions via OUs, object types and GPO with proper use of Distribution, Local, Global and Universal groups -Microsoft Windows 2003 Server configuration -Migration of Windows NT/2000 domains to Windows 2003. -sIDHistory and ADMT version 2. -Enterprise experience and knowledge of TCP/IP, UDP, subnets, network routing, IP address assignment, network security, IPSec, and all Active Directory services related network ports and protocols. -Networking security, IPSec, server communications thru firewalls. -DNS, DHCP, WINS and NetBios. -Global Catalog and Schema. -Active Directory Sites, replication and Trusts. -Enterprise experience using ADSI, WMI, COM/COM+, .NET and Windows Scripting Host (WSH) with VBScript, C++, C# or a like system programming environment. -Enterprise system programming experience including system administration automation and scripting of scheduled tasks, auditing, monitoring and logon/logoff. -Proper use of Distribution, Domain Local, Global and Universal groups. -Configuring file and print, proper resource permission assignment -Configuring and applying Group Policy (GPO). -Delegation of rights via Organizational Units and AD objects types. -Distributed File System (DFS) and file system quota. -Auditing access, monitoring of resources. -Implementing disaster recovery and Active Directory restoration. -Enterprise experience integrating authentication and authorization of external environments such Linux and Unix hosts with Microsoft Windows 2003 Active Directory using LDAPS, Kerberos, and/or Samba. -Enterprise experience with Microsoft Windows 2003 Active Directory authentication using RADIUS, VPN, secure remote access, 2-factor, or methods other than account/password combination -Enterprise experience and knowledge integrating methods of authentication using technologies such as Meta Directories, Virtual LDAP Directories, Federation (ADFS), ADAM, IIFP/MIIS, SAML and WS- * protocols. -Enterprise experience with VMware ESX or like virtual machine technology. -RAID and SAN based disk storage, desired. -Clustering and Load Balancing, desired. -Enterprise server administration experience within Data Center N-Tier network designs and server communication thru firewalls. -Enterprise administration experience of a Microsoft Windows 2003 Active Directory hosting Microsoft Exchange 2003. -Microsoft Exchange 2003 Server, ISA, desired. -Other Microsoft Server Applications, desired. -Enterprise experience with PKI Certificates, Microsoft Certificate Server, SSL and IPSec GPO for server to server communication. -PKI, LDAP, Kerberos, Radius, Two-factor authentication, desired. -Microsoft client applications, Word, Excel, Outlook and Visio. -Demonstrated English communication skills. -Candidate Must be a US Citizen or Valid Green Card/EAD Holder to TN Visa Please send your resume in a word attachment to for complete review of this position.
