PURPOSE OF JOB: Ideal candidate will have functioned in the capacity of a Business Analyst on multiple full life cycle projects. Primary purpose will be to act as a link between business people, on site support and the company that created the software. In this capacity, the Business Analyst's main responsibilities will be to design new functionality with end users, help investigate any system issues, create project deliverables, work with the technical team to ensure the configured system meets end user requirements and facilitate discussions with appropriate client resources throughout the duration of the project. RESPONSIBILITIES: Help facilitate implementation of the solution by the following: Identify and gather the requirements from business users Understand application development and impact of requirements on the application Training / Demonstrations of system to specific user groups Develop and record the information through review of client documentation, interviews and workshops; Develop and execute test plans; Verify that requirements are testable and generate testing objectives Act as liaison between client and project team; Provide end user deployment support Manage issues proactively and work with entire team to resolve issues. Project Management Coordination Assist in the preparation of status reports. Address project related issues and client concerns to facilitate efficient operation of the project. Communicate with developers throughout the development process to ensure the solution satisfies client requirements. Review of all client deliverables for presentation to the client. Facilitate client sign off on project deliverables. SKILLS & GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience with the following documentation: Business Requirements, Functional Specifications, Use Cases Scenarios, Test Scripts, End User Training Curriculum, CBTs etc. Ability to multi-task and interact in a professional manner with colleagues, clients and operational functions. Attention to detail and able to function well in a deadline-driven work environment. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently under minimal daily direction. Excellent time-management and presentation techniques. Ability to conduct interviews and facilitate workshops to define client needs. Excellent interpersonal skills with effective oral and written communication. Ability to assimilate and process new information quickly. Creative with superb troubleshooting abilities. Sound listening and concentration skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and assume leadership when required Excellent client skills METHODOLOGIES AND FRAMEWORKS: RAD, JAD, PMI EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Required: A post-secondary school education in Business, Software Engineering or Information Technology (or equivalent).
