Excellent company in NYC... We are seeking an experienced Interaction Designer to join our dynamic team of user experience professionals. The Interaction Designer gathers and synthesizes business and customer requirements into highly useful, usable and compelling customer experience solutions for large-scale web sites and applications, using a user-centered design methodology. The right candidate will be conversant in, and passionate about web/interaction design standards and principles, be highly detail-oriented, and have expertise in the dynamic visualization of quantitative and qualitative data. Experience with all phases of web-based product design including prototyping, design/style guidelines and other documentation is required. You should be a tireless advocate for the user, and be familiar with techniques to gather user feedback, including persona/scenario development, use cases, and usability testing. 4-6 years interaction/web/information design experience, including 3+ years consulting or agency experience - Exceptional communication (verbal and written), teamwork, and organizational skills. - Strong presentation and negotiation skills. - Strong conceptual and analytic skills - Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently - Consulting experience preferred - Experience in Financial Services industry highly desirable - 2-3 years experience developing business-oriented transactional web-based applications Software Skills Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop. Strong working knowledge of interactive front-end technologies (i.e. HTML, JavaScript, AJAX, CSS, DHTML), browser and platform constraints.
