*Candidates must respond with the Tekmark job number, 55594 in the subject line* High Level Position Description: The PMO Analyst has two primary responsibilities. First, the PMO Analyst will work with the Director of the PMO and other staff to build structured processes and work products in three key project management areas: 1) project planning, tracking, and reporting; 2) project team organization, staffing, and team set-up; and 3) project cost projection, tracking, and reporting. Second, the PMO Analyst will provide direct support (i.e., in these same three areas) to one or more Project Manager(s) in charge of large, complex software development project(s). Reporting Relationship: The PMO Analyst will formally report to the Director of the PMO with a dotted line reporting relationship to the Project Manager(s) that he/she supports. The Director of the PMO will define the high level focus and job responsibilities of the PMO Analyst -- the Project Manager(s) will define the project level focus and job responsibilities within that context. The Director of the PMO will formally evaluate the Analyst's work with input from the Project Manager(s). Position Roles & Responsibilities: Project Planning, Tracking, and Reporting Based on accepted project management practices, the PMO Analyst will design, develop, and implement structured processes and/or tracking & reporting formats for project planning and schedule management. This would entail developing standardized project templates using MS Project (i.e., with standardized WBS/high level milestones that track with approved SDLC's and standard contractual arrangements), structured status meeting formats/agendas, and standardized formats for tracking & reporting project status, risks, issues, etc. While working on these structured processes and formats, the PMO Analyst will provide direct support to the Project Manager(s) for project planning and schedule management including: ,Developing and setting-up appropriate project plan(s) in MS Project (Version 2002); ,Gathering updates from the Project Team Leads on a regular basis and updating the project plan(s) in MS Project; ,Providing canned and ad hoc MS Project reporting for project status meetings including customized project reporting to track high priority areas or critical path items; ,Developing customized formats for presenting project status at different levels for different audiences (e.g., details for working sessions, high level "dashboard" or report cards for executives); ,Attending Project Team and other status meetings to document issues, risks, and action items and providing tracking in these areas as specified by the Project Manager(s). Project Team Organization, Staffing, and Team Set-Up Based on accepted project management practices, the PMO Analyst will design, develop, and implement structured processes and/or models in the resource management area such as: analytical models for identifying resource/staffing requirements; organizational models (generic organization charts, standardized roles & responsibilities); a jobs database comprised of generic job descriptions; standard acquisition plan formats; structured processes and standardized tracking & reporting formats for monitoring the hiring process; and a skills database comprised of skill set profiles for all project resources. While working on these structured processes and models, the PMO Analyst will provide direct support to the Project manager(s) for resource management including: ,Identifying project resource/staffing requirements (i.e., the number and types of resources and any project-specific skill set requirements); ,Designing the project organization structure and defining project team roles and responsibilities; ,Developing project-specific position/job descriptions; ,Developing the resource acquisition plan to determine the resource mix (mix of new hires, redeployments, or outside consultants/outsourced resources) and timeframe for on-boarding resources; ,Coordinating, tracking, and reporting on the hiring/acquisition process from sourcing and recruitment through on-boarding.
