The Senior Java UI Component Architect will be involved in architecture and implementation of reusable Java Swing components and UI related subsystems. These components will be used by multiple business developers, so great care must be taken to ensure they are well designed, properly abstracted, well documented, and tested. The Senior Java UI Component Architect will be responsible for ensuring components are well architected and implemented on time and to specification
Experience: 10+ years of Java experience
5+ years of Swing specific experience.
Java architecture experience and an in depth knowledge of design patterns
In depth knowledge of usability and accessibility
In depth knowledge of the Swing "look and feel" framework including custom delegates
In depth knowledge of Java2D and Swing's painting mechanism
In depth knowledge of rich client platforms and common frameworks such as JGoodies
In depth knowledge of the JIDE component suite
Light graphic design skills
