. The position is for a developer/analyst with excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills & coding experience.
. This individual should have at least three years of application development and database experience.
. The candidate will be expected to work with the project leader to support testing on a large scale project.
. He/She is expected to be a hands-on developer and to provide data support for test cases and verification.
. This position will require meetings with business clients and the ability to write professional documents and emails.
. This candidate will work with a project leader and a team of five other business analysts to support a testing team of five to seven testers.
. The testing application he will support is an Access application and database.
. The testing application is used to track and store information about various testing scenarios and the status of test cases.
. Testers will enter test case information and results into the application and Analysts will use the information to determine the success or failure of the test scenarios.
. The contractor's role will be to provide support to the testing application as well as extracting test cases from DB2 databases that comply with Analyst needs.
. In addition, the Test Support Contractor will be responsible for further data validation by comparing test results with expected results.
. If needed, the candidate must be able to troubleshoot and augment the existing testing application.
The assignment will require the candidate to have hands-on skills including:
. Extensive knowledge of SQL Server, Access, DB2, databases and complex SQL queries.
. Minimum of three years of Access application development.
. Experience with classic testing procedures for system implementations.
ALL OF THE FOLLOWING ARE MANDATORY FOR CONSIDERATION:
Technical Requirements:
. Microsoft Access programming (3 years).
. Microsoft SQL-Server/DB2 and Access Database programming (3 years).
? (Including database design and data extract and loading)
. Microsoft Project - able to use and understand
Additional requirements:
. GUI Screen Design.
. Excellent oral and written communication skills
. Excellent analytical skills and experience in application design.
. System Implementation skills, with specific emphasis on testing procedures.
Miscellaneous skills that are a plus:
. Knowledge of the electric utility business or customer billing
