Middleware Developer in New York, NY

Title: Middleware Technical Consulting Client needs middleware technical consulting services to support the development of Oracle database based systems. The activities to be performed will include the following: The candidate must have hardware experience with serial communications such as RS232 and RS485 and should also have programming experience with protocols pertaining to serial communications and error checking, such as link status and CRC checking. The candidate would be responsible for decoding messages that are being sent by the legacy system to the existing signs; Be able to provide alternative and/or additional mechanisms to reproduce and transmit these messages from a new system that is building to the signs using TCP/IP and serial communication; Design, build and support Oracle DBs using Erwin, TOAD and SQL Plus development tools. Work closely with applications developers on new development of Cold Fusion/Oracle systems. Expert in building Stored Procedures, DB Packages, Triggers and Views. Provide additional technical assistance with custom development and support activities as directed by the designated Project Manager. This includes knowledge transfer in the areas of Oracle DBA, Oracle SQL and PL-SQL programming and performance monitoring. Assist staff with learning how to develop and implement Oracle SQL and Oracle SP. Required Skills -Must be proficient and have hands-on experience with C++ and Visual Studio environment (3+ years experience) -Must be proficient and have hands-on experience with Oracle DB release 9i or higher (3+ years experience) -Must be proficient and have hands-on experience with Oracle P/L SQL (Oracle 8i, or preferable 9i) (3+ years experience) -Experience with TOAD (Tool for Oracle Application Development) (3+ years experience) Apply directly at: ?r=gad To Apply to this job go to http://www.GadBall.com or click here
