Our client, a firm headquartered in Midtown Manhattan, is currently seeking a IT Security Analyst.

The IT Security Analyst will responsible for protecting the firm?s information assets by developing and administering technical controls that protect threats to information security.
Information Security Engineer
The Information Security Engineer will be responsible for all aspects of network, application, web
and database security in our client's IT Infrastructure and systems. Duties will include:
Monitoring and assessment of security on the firm's network perimeter and internal architecture.
Design, Architecture, Engineer, Technology and Vendor evaluation and selection, and
deployment of security solutions for the various technical platforms.
Build requirements, design, develop, document and implement security strategies for the firm.
Assist Security Manager in carrying out the Audit, Change Management, and Compliance/
regulatory aspects of the group's overall responsibilities.
Responsibilities:

* Day-to-day support of existing security tools and monitoring of IDS and Firewalls.
* Perform Application Security Assessment to reviews of new applications.
* Assist with administrative duties such as user requests for application access, password
changes, change control process and procedure, etc.
* Meet with firm's employees to uncover their current and future security needs.
* Meet with vendors to evaluate their tools to satisfy the firm's current and future needs.
* Assist in the security design of new applications and IT architecture changes.
* Closely work with project managers to ensure timely delivery.

Required Skills:
Candidate should have at least 5 years of professional experience and must possess thorough
network and security knowledge to be able to enhance, and engineer our firms' current
architectures.

Comprehensive knowledge of network security/firewall technologies, and host and network
based intrusion detection as well as deployments and establishing best practices is required.
Hands-on experience is a must.
Windows 98/NT/2K,
Patch analysis and tools,
Security Event correlation and investigation,
Security Policy Creation,
Ethical Hacking,
Quality Assurance / Change Control,
Routers/Switches/Hubs/Bridges,
Excellent organization and communications skills
Experience with LAN/WAN Networking,
Experience with Cisco routers and switches and various VPN products,
Experience with Routing Protocols,
Security / Network / Certifications a plus: CISSP, SANS, GEAC, CCSP, CCIE, CCDA, CCNA
Strong Analytical Thinking and Excellent Troubleshooting
Knowledge of Security Best Practices,
Ability to manage multiple projects
College degree preferred.










$75,000.00 - $90,000.00 Annually
