SUMMARY DESCRIPTION Client in White Plains, NY seeks a technician to provide support for custom applications to sales staff, dealer staff and hospital staff. Also assist the Global Assistance Center by providing backup or secondary IT technical support to local and regional users. Candidate must have good PC Troubleshooting skills, be able to assist users over the phone, configure PCs, Laptops, Blackberry?s, and network printers. Must have good interpersonal skills and be able to take on multiple tasks/projects at the same time. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Custom Application Support: ?Provide support for the installation and operation of the CIMS2, JARIT QX and JARIT Cross Reference applications ?Diagnose and resolve hardware/software problems ?Provide training of the applications to users ?Perform data conversions and assist in uploading the data to the users system ?Perform quality assurance testing on the applications with software and data updates Secondary Support for the Global Assistance center: ?Responsible for the day-to-day operation of all PC?s and peripherals, whether stand-alone or networked. ?Diagnose and resolve hardware/software problems. ?Provide daily support for all local users, users at other Integra facilities and remote users. ?Install/upgrade PC hardware/software when required. ?Ensure that PC?s and related devices are properly configured and connected to the local network. ?Act as interface between functional departments and Network Administrators for support issues. ?Conduct initial basic instruction for PC usage and application access (Basic Training.) ?Inform Network Administrators on any network issues encountered ?Assist Network Administrators in completing routine maintenance procedures ?Advise users on software compliance issues on the desktop/Laptops ?Assist Network Administrators in auditing and documenting hardware/software inventory (asset management) ?Assist on the completion of any infrastructure project tasks as needed ?Documents and periodically audits all hardware, software and maintains all software licenses for inventory purposes. ?Use Ghost imaging solutions ?Provide basic administration of Active Directory and MS Exchange ?Configure and basic support of corporate phone systems and ACD ?Perform any other functions assigned by the Director of I.T. - Hawthorne DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for this position. ?College preferred ?At least 5 years experience in supporting a client base of 300+ users ?Have intermediate to advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Access & Outlook ?Have a basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint & Project ?Have a basic understanding of phone systems ?Basic understanding of data and telecommunication networking TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED: PC or Laptop running a current version of Microsoft Windows; Microsoft Office Suite; office phone; cell phone The employee may be required to periodically lift and/or move up to 50Lbs.
