Our client, a technolpogy located in Midtown Manhattan is seeking a UNIX/ NT Systems Administrator will be responsible for setup, administration, maintenance and troubleshooting of networks and systems in support of software development, quality assurance, and business functions. The System Administrator will also work directly with software development and quality assurance staff to assist in the setup and maintenance of a sophisticated system testing environment. Qualifications:
* Minimum of 5 years combined cross-platform systems and network administration experience.
* Experience administering Linux workstations and servers, including Perl or shell scripting experience.
* Experience using and administering Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft workstations.
* Significant experience administering DNS, mail, printing, and file serving in a mixed Linux and Windows environment.
* Hands-on experience using enterprise network and security products, including firewalls, VPNs, routers, and managed switches. Knowledge of Cisco IOS and CatOS.
* Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking and network security.
* Strong documentation skills are required. Project management skills are highly desirable.
Education Requirements:
