Java/.Net Developer for Global Hedge Fund! in New York, NY

Our client is a Global Hedge Fund, they are looking for a strong developer to join their team in NYC.

Key Objectives:
To work on Intranet Applications, Reference Data Master, Enterprise Service Bus and Data Integration Projects and other software infrastructure projects.

Duties:
- Maintain and improve existing infrastructure applications.
- Develop new libraries, components and applications to be used by entire development group.
- Develop global applications monitoring framework.
- Design and integrate automated testing environment for Java, J2EE and .Net.
- Design tools and environments to improve productivity in the development.

Key Interfaces in IT:
- Infrastructure Group, Liquid Trading Group, IT Systems Group

Key business interfaces:
Operations / Back Office, Front Office


Skills & experience:
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Solid knowledge of Java frameworks: Collections, synchronization, IO/networking, JMS, JTA, jdbc/hibernate, annotations.
- Experience in database design and SQL.
- Experience developing in both a Unix and Windows environment: shell, perl, ant, eclipse, VisualStudio.Net, JUnit, maven, cruisecontrol.
- Experience in deploying Java application servers: JBoss, Tomcat, etc.
- Knowledge of C#, .Net.
- 2-4 years of relevant experience with another financial services organization.
- Knowledge of Data Processing.
- Basic knowledge of Financial Securities such as Options, Futures, Bonds, and Structured Products (CDS, ABS, CDO).
- Good analytical skills.
- Strong written & oral communication skills.
- Well organized.
