This position is located in New York, NY. Candidates should have 3 - 5 years of demonstrable web front-end application development experience and be good overall technologists.
Chosen candidates will work with the Technical Directors in collaboration with other developers to program and implement proprietary APIs and applications for online media delivery.
Familiarity with large-scale project development tools like Eclipse (FDT), SVN, and bug trackers is essential. Candidates should be comfortable with collaborative team work and be proficient in all front-end application development best practices such as code naming conventions, code commenting, object-oriented design and development, and TDD.
References and portfolio required.
Position Requirements:
* AJAX expertise: OO Javascript, CSS, HTML, and XML.
* Experience with professional-grade IDEs.
* Competency in HTML, CSS, and Javascript, and XML.
* Competency in cross-platform and cross-browser front-end parity.
* Understanding of the HTTP protocol.
* Experience and or familiarity with flash and Actionscript 2.0 preferred.
* XML Namespaces, XSL, and XSLT a big plus.
* Experience with TDD a big plus.
* Familiarity with server-side languages, APIs and platforms a big plus.
