ITIL Subject Matter Expert in Albany, NY

UNIVERSAL Technologies is seeking an ITIL Subject Matter Expert to join their Albany, NY team. In general the successful candidate will be responsible for all task assignments as directed by the Project Managers, which will include but are not limited to:
  • Advising the project team with regard to the best approach for using the ITIL framework to refine its Service Management processes;
  • Assist in defining a formal ITIL Vision;
  • Analyze current IT Service Management processes;
  • Assist in planning, designing, and implementing IT Service Management processes using the ITIL Framework;
  • Assist in planning, designing, and implementing the integrated suite of ITIL tools that were purchased to support all of the planned ITSM initiatives.
  • Assist with identifying and/or purchasing additional ITIL tools based on the requirements of the ITSM program going forward;
  • Coach and mentor personnel on IT Service Management processes and ITIL Fra mework.

To be considered for the position candidates must possess the following mandatory skills and expertise:

  • At least eight years of work experience directly related to process improvement within an IT organization.
  • ITIL Foundations level certification.
  • At least three years experience implementing IT Service Management Processes using the ITIL Framework.
  • At least five years experience with HP/Peregrine Tool Suite (i.e. this includes: Service Center, Asset Center, and Enterprise Discovery).

Candidates with the following desirable experience will be considered first:

  • At least four years experience documenting IT Service Management Processes.
  • At least two combined years experience implementing ITIL Service Support Processes (Configuration Management, Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, Release Management, Service Desk).
  • At least two combined years experience implementing ITIL Service Delivery Processes (Service Level Management, Capacity Management, Continuity Management, Availability Management, IT Financial Management).
  • At least two years experience implementing ITIL Service Support and Delivery Tools HP/Peregrine Asset Center and Service Center.
  • At least one year documenting IT processes using Proforma's ProVision process modeling tools.
  • At least one year experience using PMO Implementation and Time Management tools.
  • At least two years experience implementing automated IT Asset and Discovery Tools.
