Basic Function:
This position is primarily responsible for administering and supporting the Websphere MQ infrastructure on a Windows, AIX and z/os platform. This position may offer the ability to work anywhere within the Northeast or Ohio areas. (We are willing to provide MQ administrator training for the successful candidate that meets all the basic qualifications)
Responsibilities:
This position will also involve upgrading, maintaining and supporting our existing Visual Basic and Java Web programs as needed.
This position will assist and interact with application development and production support teams as well as other clients throughout the bank.
Basic Qualifications:
3+ years demonstrated experience developing Visual Basic and/or Java Web applications in a MS Windows workstation/server environment
Ability to work on diverse projects concurrently with minimal supervision, and provide solid, dependable, scalable solutions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent debugging skills
Must be customer oriented
Ideal Qualifications:
Websphere MQ Administrator experience in a financial institution
Experience in developing distributed Websphere MQ applications
Experience working with Websphere Application Server
Experience administering and supporting Web servers (IIS, Apache)
Ability to work/function in Windows, AIX and z/os environments to support the MQ infrastructure
