Robert Half Technology has an exciting opportunity for a Associate Technical Analyst with one of our Long Island based clients. In this role, the associate Technical Analyst will be responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of voice/data communications technologies used by our client. Develops, communicates, and manages priorities consistent with strategic company's business plan relative to voice/data communications. Maintenance and support of the company's data LAN/WAN network infrastructure, providing 7x24 up-time performance and system availability. The Associate Technical Analyst will also be responsible for telephone system administration, respond to incident/problem tickets within a reasonable time frame, close tickets, report on outages, and identify recurring issues and resolutions, provide daily WAN infrastructure outage and services support to client's internal/external customers and monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve network service issues/outages, through completion, with field technical resources and/or telecom carriers. Experience: Hands-on experience and knowledge of Cisco IOS, and Cisco LAN/WAN products, technologies, configurations and administration software technologies.
Knowledge of Telco services, Frame Relay, ATM, dedicated point-to-point, ISDN, POTS and CSU/DSU required hardware and software and their setup process with Cisco Systems Products.
Knowledge of Network Management, Monitoring and Reporting Systems.
Must be willing to share responsibility for off-shift, weekend, and holiday coverage by carrying a business cell phone on a periodic basis (via a rotating coverage list).
MS Office Applications, TCP/IP, WINS, DHCP
Knowledge of current LAN/WAN networking technologies such as routers, switches, and shared segment hubs.
