Technical Project Manager
We're seeking a technical project manager to permanently joins our client's team, responsible for both software development and IT infrastructure efforts. The role requires strong management skills, technical proficiency and organizational prowess. We're looking for a detail-oriented "workflow engineer" who is a terrific communicator. This position will report to the Senior Director of Engineering.
Our client is undergoing major growth. They are an international company that is huge in Europe and other markets and will be re-launching soon. This is a great opportunity to join a tightly knit team. The compensation packages are extremely attractive. Additionally, there is great opportunity for international travel if you desire.
Familiarity with large, complex 24x7 networks which include the following hardware:
- SAN storage systems (3Par and Sun)
- Fiber fabric switches (McData)
- Big iron switches (Foundry)
- Load balancers (Netscaler)
- Cutting edge server hardware (Sun T1000 and T5220 servers)
- Email appliances (Strongmail)
- Databases (MySQL)
- Unix/Linux OS (Solaris, RedHat)
Ability to manage 3rd party vendor relationships:
- CDNs
- Bandwidth providers
- Resellers
- Experience with software development teams working with Java and large scalable systems
- Experience with Visio and workflow diagramming
- Experience with database and platform migrations
- Experience with datacenter migrations
- Familiarity with XP/Agile/Iterative development methodologies
