BASIC FUNCTION:As part of M&T’s Technology Infrastructure the Project Manager would be responsible for the management, planning, communication of status, tracking, documentation, test results and the implementation of technical aspects of business projects or technology driven projects.Performs complex analysis and research in support of business goals and strategies. Implements modifications to solve problems.Provides consulting services and third level support to various departments within the organization.Consulting services – include providing system design suggestions, and recommendations for information systems solutions. Providing technical direction in the integration of new or existing technologies into the M&T computing environment. Acting as a principal participant for critical components and major efforts; effectively using organizational, interpersonal, analytical and technical skills, to evaluate client requirements and processes.Third level support – includes trouble shooting complex problems, defining resolutions and assisting in defining the steps to implement the associated resolutionsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Excellent Problem solving skills.Familiar with System Administration and concepts on Novell Netware and Microsoft network operating system platforms.Understands telecommunications networks, topologies, and protocols.Capable of learning new technical skills.Able to translate business requirements into technical requirements to support projectsIDEAL QUALIFICATIONS:Demonstrates diplomatic negotiating skills and excellent interpersonal skillsCapable of embracing unexpected change in direction or priorityExcellent analytical, problem resolution, organization and time management skillsDetail oriented and self motivated.Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively present to the target audience.
