CDI Business Solutions currently has a contract opportunity with an exciting client in Manhattan for a Graphic Designer.
As a Graphic Designer with an egalitarian approach toward all programs, you are able to transform statistics, text and abstract concepts into persuasive and elegant informational presentations. An absolutely essential requirement of this job is that you have advanced PowerPoint skills and enjoy using it, along with Illustrator and Photoshop, to create polished presentations - often with little advance notice. (In fact, when you apply, please include in your portfolio ample evidence of your PowerPoint ability.) Additionally, you'll assist sales teams in the field, as well as less-experienced designers, with their projects. This is a fast-paced, high-pressure, often unpredictable - but thoroughly enjoyable - environment in which you'll work closely with Sales teams to create other collateral such as pitch books, posters, signage, brochures, direct-mail pieces, logos, Web graphics and other customer print projects for use around the world. In other words, you'll work on a variety of projects in a variety of programs. The only limits are your imagination.
Responsibilities
Create graphics for presentations which can be widely repurposed and customized
Collaborate with planners and outside print vendors to create end-to-end collateral for a variety of events
Work with Industry Marketing Mangers to create direct-mail pieces, informational brochures, simple internal landing pages and HTML newsletters in order to generate interest from potential clients
Assist salespeople in the field in finding graphics materials or working with applications such as PowerPoint
Requirements
BA/BS degree
Advanced Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Word and PowerPoint skills, particularly in the use of color palettes, master slides, animations, imported elements and template creation
Ability to work in Excel with large sets of data
Elegant, sleek and accessible sense of design, and extreme attention to detail and consistency
Strong organizational skills and the ability to balance multiple simultaneous projects
Knowledge of media software packages such as video editing and audio editing preferred
Prior experience at an advertising or creative agency preferred
