Responsibilities include:
Will perform the development and integration for customized solutions based on external and internal customer requirements. He/She will work closely with projects managers, graphic designers, media producers, test engineers and clients as part of a team to design, develop, and implement customized solutions that support external customers as well as internal production teams.
Types of customization can include:
Development or customization of Flash based interactives (using Flash, ActionScript 2.0 and XML) in support of e-learning model.
Development or customization of authoring-efficiency tools using Flash, and xml technologies.
Development or customization of new e-learning models or e-learning systems using the following possible technologies: Flash, Flex, XML, XSLT, PHP, Java.
Experience: Required Knowledge and Skills:
Advanced skills in Adobe Flash 7 and Adobe Flash 8 utilizing ActionScript 1 and ActionScript 2 for creating dynamic web applications.
Advanced skills in consuming XML with Flash.
Intermediate to advanced skills in JavaScript
Intermediate skills in 1 of the following:
Flex 2.0 and Flash 9 utilizing ActionScript 3 and XML
Serverside Scripting (JSP, PHP, etc..)/SQL/Database technologies
Java Development
Other Programming Languages (VB, Perl, etc...)
Knowledge of software engineering principles and practices
Basic understanding of standard design patterns such as MVC
Solid communication skills
Self directed - requires minimal oversight
Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
Intermediate to Advanced skills in XML Application Development
Background in E-Learning and SCORM a plus
MS in Computer Science or Information Technology.
2+ years experience developing software in multimedia, or xml publishing environment (enterprise wide projects or in large environments).
