As a C++ and Java Developer, you will be responsible for the development, implementation, deployment, and testing of components comprising the Settlements Management System for various business areas. You will be part of the Confirmations and Settlements Management team, which is responsible for the development and maintenance of the software that supports the core functionality performed by Global Operations, especially for Derivatives processing. This international group provides global support to our business in the areas of Credit Derivatives, Mortgages, Loans Commodities, Equities, Foreign Exchange, Interest Rate, and other products.
REPORTS TO: Manager of the Confirmations and Settlements Management technology team
Duties/Responsibilities
Analyze new business requirements to determine technical solutions
Develop new components and enhance existing modules to accommodate new business requirements
Provide first- and second-line support for existing production systems

Experience: Required Background/Experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or related discipline
5+ years of hands-on application development experience using C++ and Java
Exposure to C#, .NET, and COM
Solid T-SQL skills on Sybase
Experience with distributed systems as well as object-oriented system analysis and design
Financial industry experience
Major Pluses to Have
Experience with UNIX
