Robert Half Technology has several openings available for a Jr Applications Architect/Software Engineer position in Midtown. Architectural skills
Ability to turn business requirements into software design on the module / departmental / project level.
Expertise in Object Oriented Languages (C#, VB.NET or Java) and good knowledge of Microsoft technologies and products.
Broad expertise in development practices such as Design Patterns, Service Oriented Architectures; knowledge of Application Blocks along with any Enterprise Architecture frameworks or similar.
Good knowledge of the Agile development concepts
Technology Skills:
A detailed understanding of the Microsoft .NET Framework and the Common Language Runtime (CLR).
Experience with tuning and profiling beneficial
Significant experience with relational data bases, including normalization, stored procedures and query optimization.
Detailed understanding of XML technologies including namespaces, transformations and xpath navigation
Good understanding of Web Services technologies (SOAP, WSDL).
Experience with configuration management systems such as Rational Clearcase, Perforce, Starteam or Synergy
Functional Skills:
