Our client is seeking a Financial Applications Manager to support the company’s core financial systems. The Financial Applications Manager is responsible for supporting the financial systems for the company and holds primary responsibility for initial development and ongoing maintenance of application reports. Additional responsibilities of the Financial Applications Manager include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Providing end-user support on core financial business applications.
• Helping to establish business processes and ensuring optimal implementation and utilization of the financial systems. Continually looking for improvement opportunities and leading implementation projects or improvement efforts as changes are identified.
• Working with the business teams to identify reporting needs and developing/coding the necessary reports.
• Coordinating the creation and maintenance of application documentation and end-user documentation for financial business applications.
Experience: To be considered for this role, the incumbent must possess strong communication skills, both oral and written, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize. A BA/BS in Business Administration, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field is required, and an MBA or dual-degree is highly preferred. This role requires 8+ years of work experience and 5+ years of related financial applications experience. Strong candidates will be experienced with financial applications systems covering Accounts Payable, General Ledger, as well as financial reporting for management and consolidations, and will have experience using and implementing modules on these applications. The ideal candidate would have SQL database knowledge and technical expertise, and possess a strong ability to identify business needs and implement technical solutions.
