Job Summary
The position will provide technical and project leadership for mid to large-scale projects. As an IS Project Manager the individual will be responsible for managing all aspects of the project from establishing timelines, meeting deliverables and managing the project budget. The project must maintain a high level of quality thorough communications, customer service and organizational practices. In addition to Project Management, the position will also provide on-going support for installed local and enterprise applications.
Job Responsibilities
*Provide processing that delivers the right information the first time, meets objectives on-time, and eliminates down time.
*Ensures that all users are provided high quality services and products that are consistent with GMP and corporate standards.
*Provide prompt, courteous services to our business a client, ensuring the customer is always satisfied.
*Develop a world-class IS organization committed to ensuring the success of the business through individual leadership, a focus on excellence, and team collaboration through demonstration of company values.
*Seek out opportunities to provide quality products and services that directly increase revenue, profitability, and productivity for our customer and partners and leverage enterprise systems and strategies.
*Manage department budget which may vary from $1.5 million to $5 million depending on plant size and complexity. Also, provides budget estimates for computer system clients to be budgeted by the business.
*Add value by integrating and applying information technology to drive fundamental and significant improvements to business practices and processes.
Basic Qualifications
*BS/BA + 7 years experience; or MS/MA + 5 years experience; or PhD +2 years experience.
*Project Management certification is a plus; however not required.
*Advanced understanding of both hardware and software; experience using project management tools; experience using a SDLC approach; previous experience leading teams implementing packaged software.
*Experience working in a regulated environment preferred.
*Experience with Labware LIMS; advanced knowledge of reporting utilities (e.g. Crystal).
*Effective oral, written and interpersonal skills required; demonstrated organizational, planning and administrative abilities; vendor management experience preferred; must be available 24/7.
*Relocation is not available for this position.
