We have an immediate need for a Flash Developer.
Purpose of Job:
Persons needed to design, develop, and commercialize the
Flash user interface, which provides customers with easy
operational workflows.
Responsibilities / Specialized Skill Requirements
Required:
Responsibilities
. Develop reusable platform to modify the display for both
user interaction and data driven events.
. Collaborate with product team to determine the
requirements of the platform and its supported applications.
. Refine requirements into a development plan with back-end
software developers.
. Develop a range of large, object-oriented
ActionScript-based applications implementing the
functionality supported by the platform.
. Participate in debugging the end-to-end application.
. Write technical documentation.
. Contribute creatively to ongoing development.
Skill Requirements
. Expert knowledge of ActionScript 3.0, Flash, Flex, DHTML,
and JavaScript.
. Understanding of the latest Flash innovations, including
remoting, deeplinking, and Flex. Actual programming
experience with these techniques preferred (knowledge of
BlazeDS, Spring, and Java desirable).
. Well-versed in object-oriented programming methodologies,
especially within ActionScript
. Previous experience architecting Flash-based platforms and
building upon them large, highly interactive applications.
. GUI design experience.
. Experience designing multimedia components using standard
industry tools such as Photoshop and Illustrator.
. Experience with XML and related technologies such as XSLT.
. Experience integrating Flash applications with a
relational database (Postgres preferable) for managing user
interaction.
. Strong Experience with Linux and/or Unix development
environments.
. Experience using UML.
. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
. Strong organizational skills, self-motivated, team player.
