• Maintain and support existing Hyperion client and financial applications by managing hierarchy changes as well as updating substitution variables, calc scripts, business rules, Excel macros, reports, etc.<br>
• Lead the design, implementation and administration of the Hyperion suite of analytical tools.<br>
• Promote involvement in ongoing development of Hyperion systems among users by soliciting ideas, expanding the scope and capabilities of the Hyperion applications and their use. <br>
• Develop, test and implement changes to Essbase applications as requested by Finance.<br>
• Provide ideas whenever possible to further automate Finance department tasks.<br>
• Create, develop and implement new Essbase applications as requested by Finance.<br>
• Support the forecast and budget cycles, working directly with firm Budget Administrator and Finance department. Ensure process consistency and accuracy of budget balances between Clarity, Hyperion and CMS applications.<br>
• Consult and answer Essbase reporting and inquiry related questions.<br>
• Develop and maintain reconciliation models between source applications and OLAP environment. Investigate, resolve and communicate discrepancies to the Management and Finance users on a regular basis.<br>
• Maintain the Essbase servers and applications in the production, development and DR environments.<br>
• Manage the migration process from production to the DR and keep all environments in-sync.<br>
• Manage all upgrades to the production and DR environments using processes documented and tested in the development environment.<br>
• Analyze and work with users on the impact of vendor software upgrades.<br>
• Learn CMS OPEN and future accounting system application, SQL table structure and relationships, and customization tools as required.<br>
• Work on various projects as assigned by the Financial Systems Manager.<br>
• Project Management - Create, track and update all project tasks and continually inform the department and management of the project's status.<p>
Experience: <b>• 3 or more years of experience in Business Intelligence environment.<br>
• 2 or more years of experience in administering Hyperion applications.<br>
• 1 or more years of experience with Hyperion System 9.<br>
• Experience working with Finance/Accounting users and applications<p></b>
• Minimum 4 years college education.<br>
• Relational database programming experience, preferably SQL.<br>
• Ability to learn specific functional and technical aspects of an OLAP and the client/server accounting system.<br>
• Ability to develop spreadsheets with complex calculations and macros.<br>
• Microsoft Excel, Access and/or SQL programming experience.<br>
• Familiarity with Windows 95, and Windows NT in addition to an understanding of basic networking concepts.<br>
• Self-motivated person with excellent time management skills.<br>
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate results.<br>
• In-depth technical financial analysis skills, including data consolidation.<br>
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate with staff of varying technical expertise.<br>
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with credibility at all levels of the organization.<p>
