BASIC FUNCTION:As part of M&T’s Consumer Lending division the Programmer/Analyst will provide highly specialized system support to assigned department on complex non-routine projects. Act in a liaison capacity between assigned department and Technology personnel.RESPONSIBILITIES:Works with assigned divisional clients, primarily Consumer Lending and Asset Management, to identify benefits/opportunities for process automation.Execute all aspects of development life cycle for new and/or changes to existing applications.Miscellaneous reporting and application maintenance, primarily in support of Consumer Lending and Asset ManagementParticipate as team member or leader on various departmental and/or division-wide projects.Provide technical assistance to junior and/or less experienced developers within division.Willingness to learn new development tools and expand technical skill base.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelors degree or above in a technical field of study or 4+ years professional level experience in a related technical environmentTwo (2) or more years of development experience in Microsoft Visual Studio products with emphasis on Visual FoxPro version 6 or higher or Visual Basic version 6One (1) or more years experience with writing reports using Crystal Reports or similar reporting toolExperience with relational database structures/concepts and one (1) or more years of experience integrating applications with Microsoft SQL ServerExperience as member of a project team actively dealing with internal business clients.Excellent written/verbal skills and experience in writing system and/or user documentation.IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS:C#.net development experience.API/Integration with 3270 emulatorsASP or ASP.net programming experience a plusSAS programming experience a plus
