Job Description:
SAN Deployment Resource required to support SAN requirement as a result of additional servers being added by customer.
Hardware:
DS8300s, Sharks, DS4000s, SVC, Brocade SAN switches, Brocade SAN routers, Brocade SAN modules, McData SAN switches, Cisco SAN switches Software - DS8000 Storage Manager, Shark Specialist, Brocade Fabric Manager, McData EFCM, Cisco Fabric Manager.
Support all range of Brocade San technology.
Storage vendors include: HP, EMC and the entire TotalStorage Equipment portfolio, including nSeries.
Support for Data replication (software, configuration, management, and monitoring) for all deployed vendor equipment.
Support for Wide Area File Services equipment: WAFS, WADS, and other Wan accelerators (assist)
Storage Virtualization of all deployed equipment using SVC (strategic), Disk Extender and other virtualization products.
Storage Management for all deployed equipment using each vendor's management tools.
Storage Reporting using TPC.
Support for SAN Multi-Protocol Routers MPR's.
Support of Brocade 24K and 48K, and F16's.
Support, installation and deployment of EMC CLARiiON, or CX storage, and HP XP Storage.
Support of EMC Celerra.
Strong understanding of HP-UX/Linux/Windows hosts, all flavors of initiator and target SAN devices.
Software experience in navisphere, ECC, and Element Manager.
In depth knowledge of electronic hardware to the component level as it relates to Data Center operations in general and Fiber Channel specifically.
Work with the vendor (HP,EMC) to schedule installations and upgrades.
Excellent verbal and communication skills.
