Our client, a supplier and retailer of nutritional supplements based in Suffolk County, New York is seeking a Senior Database Administrator for its E-Commerce division. The DBA will provide structure and an understanding of all aspects of database administration and how it impacts the software development life cycle. Responsibilities include the design, documentation and implementation of; schema change control and versioning; backup and recovery; performance monitoring and tuning; replication and ETL processes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Analyze and optimize system architecture, efficiency and stability
•Develop automated processes and tools to support frequent ETL operations
•Maintaining High Availability for all production systems
•Implement, enforce and adhere to database design standards
•Mentor co-workers, sharing technical expertise and providing a leadership example to junior team members
Job Requirements:
•Five years of related technical experience (RDBMS Server administration)
•Experience working in a high traffic/transactional, environment
•Knowledge of basic system administration and networking

Experience: SQL Server 2000
Two years of E-commerce experience
Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent training and experience
RDBMS Certifications a plus
