As lead software engineer, will be responsible for reviewing and enhancing the overall OSS architecture; and designing, developing, and unit testing of provisioning and other OSS applications. The majority of development is done in Java, Enterprise Java Beans, JSP, and dynamic HTML on Windows and Solaris. Applications are based on BEA, JSP and Oracle. In addition, will create project plans, direct schedules, and lead the provisioning development team. This individual will perform under minimal supervision on moderate scope projects.
Specific Responsibilities:
Development of provisioning system functionalities (J2EE, EJB, JSP, BEA Weblogic)
Lead application development team
Develop and monitor the project plan and key milestones.
Clearly communicate status, issues and objectives of the project with the internal management and project teams.
Develop and maintain a high degree of system knowledge for the products.
Quickly and proactively identify and escalate, if needed, project issues impacting ability to delivery quality products and services according to plan.
Organizes interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of project on schedule and/or communicates new procedures.
Cross Functional Reviews i.e. documentation, requirements, analysis models, use cases, training material, etc.

Integration Testing
Process Improvement
Provide support for development environments and teams in activities such as load testing, troubleshooting, and performance tuning;
Works with the Application Support team to identify and correct issues and bugs;
Troubleshoots issues relating to applications;
Work with application support to quickly troubleshoot and correct all reported issues;
7 to 10 years experience. Requires prior management, supervisory or team leader experience.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.
4+ years experience with EJB, JAVA, JavaScript, JDBC, JMS, HTML, XML, XSLT, J2EE
2+ years experience with BEA WebLogic Server, WebLogic Integrator, and Tuxedo
Working knowledge of Oracle, PL/SQL, and SQL Server
Working knowledge of Solaris 8 and/or 9 (sparc)
Experience administering, structuring, architecting, and supporting web-based systems that are highly available and capable of handling large throughput and concurrency;
Experience and willingness to support a 24 x 7 production environments;
Understanding of basic network concepts (i.e. TCP/IP protocols, routing, subnets, services, DNS, etc.);
Ability to balance conflicting priorities and manage time to ensure success of simultaneous efforts;
IT knowledge in software development methodologies/processes, design, implementation and documentation.
