Robert Half Technology is currently recruiting for a Jr. Web Developer for an award winning web development/design shop based in Manhattan. Our client is financially stable with long time clients, but also make time to work on our own fun projects.
You will develop complex, custom PHP applications from start to finish for our clients, many of which are well known. You will also develop new applications for our homegrown music social network that has been featured in Wired, TechCrunch, The Wall Street Journal and other publications.
The following skills are REQUIRED:
1. Minimum of 1-2 solid years building complete applications in PHP/MYSQL
2. Proficiency in XHTML, Javascript, CSS, XML
The following skills are DESIRED:
1. BS in Computer Science or related field
2. Experience with MVC frameworks
3. Experience in configuring and managing LAMP based servers which may include:
. use of RPM or other package managers
. Experience in Pear package use and installation
. Experience maintaining off-the-shelf PHP products such as PHPBB or OpenAds
4. Experience building and using social networks (Web 2.0) applications
