Accounting Business Analyst, Technology - New York City
NYC based multi-billion dollar Hedge Fund seeking an Accounting Business Analyst to join our Technology team. The business analyst will act as a liaison between our technology department and accounting department. The role will involve working closely with fund accountants on a daily basis to address various technology needs.
Serve as a single point of contact for all technology related accounting needs
Address inquiries and technology requests from accountants and auditors
Analyze, document, and track inquires, enhancements, and new development
Perform ad hoc, as needed data mining requests from accounting personnel
Serve as project manager and QA tester on larger projects. Gather requirements from business users (e.g. accounting) and communicate them to developers
Document business requirements

Experience: Qualifications
Solid Hedge Fund accounting experience. Candidate should understand and be conversant with:
Income character – realized, unrealized, interest and dividend income, etc.
Tax lot accounting, FIFO, etc.
Partnership Accounting – onshore and offshore partnerships, series accounting, etc.
Experience in database / SQL. Ability to navigate and query for data.
Extremely organized and able to multi-task.
Consulting and Big 4 experience is a plus
