Sr Unified Communications Engineer

Senior Unified Communications (UC) Engineers for the Cisco UC Business Unit provide the highest level of pre-sales and post sales implementation support to the Atlantic Account Managers, Solution Specialists, and our customers. Pre-sales responsibilities include Cisco UC based solution design, project scoping, Statement of Work (SoW) writing, and technical presentations. The post sales responsibilities include all aspects of the Prepare, Plan, and Implement phases of the project lifecycle for Cisco UC projects. In addition, as a Senior member of the team, you are responsible to mentor, assist, and provide escalation support to professional services and support services team members.
Responsibilities:
Install, configure and document Cisco UC Solutions following best practices
Complete Project Closing Documentation
Participate in on-call rotation for Day 2 Support of installations
Maintain current Cisco Certifications as required
Provide technical pre-sales support to Account Managers, Solution Specialists, and customers with responsibilities including Voice Communications assessment, solution design, project scoping, SoW writing, and technical presentations.
Design and Communicate technical design requirements, constraints, functionality, and implementation details verbally and in formal documentation (Visio Diagram) to Atlantic team and customers.
Establish trusted advisor status with the customer, attend initial kickoff meeting, Provide overall technical leadership and senior implementation role throughout the project, and attend closeout meetings for final test and acceptance signoff. Provide well documented handoff to support services team.
Maintain mentorship role for less senior professional service and support service personnel.
Requirements:
Maintain Cisco Certifications required to meet Cisco UC Specialization Role Requirements and Badges, which include:
o CCNA Voice, CCVP
o Cisco IP Telephony Design Specialist
o Cisco Rich Media Communications Specialist
o Cisco Unified Contact Center Express Specialist
o Cisco Unity Design Specialist and Cisco Unity Support Specialist
¢ Experience performing unassisted installs of SBCS Product line (UC500)
¢ Experience performing unassisted installs of UC Express product line (CME, CUE)
¢ Experience performing unassisted installs of UC Mainline products (CM, CMBE, Unity VM/UM, Unity Connection, MeetingPlace Express, Presence and SRST
¢ Experience Training IP Phone End Users and Administrators
