Skills: The PCWS (Private Client Workstation) program will replace our current vendor-based trade clearance platform with an in house developed clearance solution. The PCWS program involves resources and technology from across the client, Corporate Technology and Retail operations, and is one of the largest investment projects currently being run in the firm. The PCWS program upon completion will provide the firm significant savings each year. The successful candidate will, develop profile in Broker Dealer Services (BDS) Line of Business in IB Technology. Work with business on application requirements and work with offshore development team on the project construction and execution. Partner with BDS Application Architecture team to improve application performance characteristics in virtualized environments. - 5 years of IT experience in Application Development and Deployment into Production. 4 years of experience designing and implementing n-tier software solution on distributed computing infrastructure - Server Side: Deep understanding and production experience with one of the following technologies - Spring, Struts, MVC frameworks. Clear understanding of databases from Application Development perspective including schema design and query optimization. Experience with messaging will be considered a plus - Tibco EMS, MQSeries and JMS API - User Interface: Deep understanding and production experience with one of the following technologies - JSP/Servlets, DHTML, Javascript - Demonstrated record of working with diverse teams like Application Development, Infrastructure and business. Should be work independently as part of a core team and must be a self-starter - Bachelors degree in CS or EE - Excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred Skills: - Masters degree in CS or EE - Experience with newer application development paradigms and deep familiarity with at least one Ajaxian/RIA frameworks like Tibco GI, Dojo, Adobe Flex - Experience working in virtualized development environments would be a plus Roles and Responsibilities: Request Name: PCWS- Java Developer [BDS Solutions] The successful candidate will, develop profile in Broker Dealer Services (BDS) Line of Business in IB Technology.
