Quality Assurance - Client Server in New York, NY

Looking for two test leads to test Web applications for financial brokerage group. 1 lead must have tax lot/accounting experience and brokerage experience. 1 lead must have IVR experience (brokerage exp not required) experience with empirix tools a plus tax lot accounting group has 4 members IVR group has 2 members Duration: 5 Months *PCWS QA Test Lead - Client Server: 2 spots - Emphasis will be on the following two skill sets* 1) tax lots/Accounting 2) IVR PCWS Test Lead Position The Private Client Workstation (PCWS) program will replace our current client vendor-based trade clearance platform with an in-house developed clearance solution. The PCWS program involves resources and technology from across the client, Corporate Technology and Retail operations, and is one of the largest investment projects currently being run in the firm. The PCWS program upon completion will provide the firm significant savings each year. These positions are for a strong QA test professionals who will be responsible for leading and hands on testing on one or more projects for the Broker Dealer Services (BDS) area. The person should have some experience working with onshore and offshore consulting groups. The person will have interaction with other QA team members, development team and the business users. Must have skill set: " Experience using HP Mercury Quality Center as a full test management tool. " Experience writing detailed test plans and test cases/scripts based business requirements, use cases, and functional specifications. " Experience performing test execution using Quality Center. " Experience preparing test data/files for business data validation. " Experience performing defect management. " Experience creating test estimates. " Must have financial, brokerage and trading industry experience. " Experience testing on Client Server and Web based applications. " Must demonstrate strong time management skills, ability to multi-task & handle multiple project assignments & prioritize one's own work. " Attention to detail and commitment to follow-through on issues. Additional skills: " Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle and Test Process " Experience Leading UAT " Experience with test tools such as QTP, Win runner, Load Runner, etc. " Knowledge of SQL and Relational Databases Qualifications: " 5 years of QA experience " Strong on Quality Center and/or Test Director " Experience using MS Excel and MS Project " Strong interpersonal skills " Strong time management skills " Must have excellent verbal and written skills being able to communicate effectively on both a technical and business level " Must have Financial services industry experience, and/or training " Testing Certification(s) a plus " Knowledge the following technologies is a plus: FLEX, JavaScript, DB2, Sybase, J2EE technology " Experience Managing UAT a plus To Apply to this job go to http://www.GadBall.com or click here
