Our client, a globally admired provider of investment data and analytics, is looking for a very experienced GUI Software Developer experienced in both the prototype and production design of complex software products and business systems. This is a unique opportunity to influence one of the mostinfluential software products in the marketplace. Although this is not a management role, this position will be for the serious front-end developer who thrives on being involved on client-facing software early on and throughout the product life cycle. Responsibilities include developing low to high-end fidelity prototypes, through usability and design review iterations, as well as strong knowledge for production ready software. The role includes a close and collaborative environment with visual designers, interaction designers, usability specialists, product managers, and front-end and back-end technologists. The ideal candidate must possess extensive experience in building WPF custom controls and panels; and designing UI Frameworks. You must be a team player with proven success on achieving aggressive deadlines. Demonstration of strong passion, excellent communication skills, and creative problem solving is a must. Expert knowledge in the following: * .NET architecture (CLR, GC, and C# programming)* WPF/Silverlight, XAML* WinForms* Web Services and multi-tier distributed systems* High-performance multi-threading in Win32 and .NET* OOD/OOP skills, and experience applying modern design patterns* Proficient knowledge of design tools such as Blend, Illustrator, and Photoshop* B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or related field* Strong knowledge in building C/C++ applications a plus
